| Doctor arquitecto por la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, profesor titular del Departamento de Proyectos Arquitectónicos de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, y acreditado catedrático. Ha sido subdirector general de Información e Investigación en el Ministerio de Cultura, Director del Instituto Cervantes en Múnich y en Roma, Gerente de la Fundación Cultural COAM y director del Instituto del Patrimonio Cultural de España.
Ha participado en proyectos de investigación y conservación en Egipto, México, Italia, Guatemala y España. Entre sus publicaciones destacan Viaje a través de la arquitectura, La conservación del patrimonio arquitectónico español, Iniciación a la arquitectura, Los espacios del saber. Historia de la arquitectura de bibliotecas, La vida y la obra de Leopoldo Torres Balbás, Los espacios de la mirada. Historia de la arquitectura de museos y El proyecto de arquitectura. Concepto, proceso y representación.

Architect by the Polytechnic University Valencia, and Professor by the Technichal Highschool of Architecture Madrid, Alfonso Muñoz Cosme has been Deputy Director General of Information and Research in the Culture Ministry; Director of the Cervantes Institute in Munich and Rome; Manager of the Cultural Foundation COAM, and Director of the Institute for Cultural Heritage of Spain.
He has participated in some conservation and research projects in Egypt, Mexico, Guatemala, Italia and Spain. Between his publications are the books: A tour through the Architecture; The conservation of the architectural heritage of Spain; Initiation to the Architecture; Spaces of knowledge; Life and works of Leopoldo Torres Balbás; Spaces of looking on, and The Project of Architecture.
